Job summary

Blue Zoo Animation Studio seeks a 3D Storyboard Supervisor to lead visual development for a new 3D production. The role involves managing a team of artists, ensuring quality storyboarding, and maintaining the show's visual language. This position is a fixed-term contract from June to October 2026 with hybrid working options. Ideal candidates will have leadership experience and artistic mastery, with knowledge of digital storyboarding workflows. Must be based outside the London M25 area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Storyboard Supervisor or Lead Storyboard Artist.
• Accomplished drawing skills with understanding of layout and perspective.
• Excellent understanding of film language, staging, and narrative structure.
• Ability to communicate complex creative ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Storyboard Artists and Revisionists.
• Brief the story team alongside the Directors on script breakdown.
• Establish and maintain the visual 'language' of the show.
• Work closely with artists at the thumbnail stage for story continuity.
• Ensure boards are optimized for a 3D environment.
