Job summary

SP Energy Networks, part of the Iberdrola Group, is recruiting a Senior Engineer (Commissioning) in Prenton to lead testing, commissioning and energisation of 132kV/33kV assets across the SP Manweb area. You will apply SAP duties and collaborate with project teams to deliver safely and on time.

You will hold 132kV/33kV SAP status or be progressing towards, with HV protection knowledge and a full UK driving licence, and you will travel as required within the network area.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Current 132kV/33kV SAP authorisation, or advanced progress towards.
• Experience with 132kV/33kV networks and HV protection.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing, commissioning and energisation of 132kV/33kV assets.
• Carry out SAP duties on 132kV/33kV networks.
• Co-ordinate with Project Managers, contractors and delivery partners.
• Provide coaching to trainees and apprentices.
• Travel across the SP Manweb area with possible overnight stays.
