A leading technology consultancy is seeking a Land Domain C4 Technical Architect to support the LE TacCIS Programme. This hybrid role involves developing architectural artefacts and coordinating with stakeholders across Defence. Job description

Status: Outside IR35
Location: Corsham / AHQ Hybrid (occasional travel to ABW, Oakdale, Christchurch)
Rate: Up to 575 a day
Clearance: SC Cleared

We are seeking a Land Domain C4 Technical Architect to support the LE TacCIS Programme, delivering critical technical architecture expertise across tactical CIS capabilities within the Land Domain. This is a high-profile opportunity to contribute to the future design and integration of communications and information systems (CIS) across Defence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop technical architecture modelling artefacts to support the capture and understanding of operational needs.
• Coordinate LE TacCIS architecture work with wider Army HQ initiatives including AOM, FCCM, and MSI.
• Collaborate with TacSys and Defence Digital architecture teams to ensure cross-domain architectural coherence.
• Support LE TacCIS and Land Domain C4 projects in producing high-level design and architecture artefacts using ArchiMate, Sparx EA, and Prolaborate.
• Provide expert consultation and advisory services to Capability Managers (CMs), assisting in the integration and coordination of cross-functional activity across the programme.
• Establish and implement Architecture Terms of Reference (ToRs), Vision, and Work Plans, aligned to the TOGAF Architecture Development Method (ADM).

Skills & Experience Required:

• Strong understanding of enterprise and technical architecture frameworks, ideally TOGAF.
• Hands-on experience with architectural modelling tools (ArchiMate, Sparx EA, Prolaborate).
• Familiarity with Land Environment tactical communications systems is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and align technical strategy with operational and acquisition needs.
• Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across Defence and industry.
• SC Clearance is a minimum requirement for this role.
