We don’t follow trends. We start them. We drive change and deliver more to make a tangible difference for our clients and communities.

We are recruiting a lawyer to support growth and development of our EDM team within our Legal Delivery Centre in Leeds.

The Legal Delivery Centre (LDC) uses streamlined processes, legal technical knowhow, and cutting-edge technology to design and deliver routine or document-heavy legal services quickly and efficiently. Operating from locations in Australia, UK and the Netherlands the LDC primarily allocates activity to a team of Paralegals with qualified lawyers used to support service delivery.

The EDM team is one of a number of functions within the LDC. It supports the groups by undertaking document review activity primarily using our inhouse instance of RelativityOne. Reviews will generally form part of a larger engagement, often involving litigation, regulatory investigation or other form of document production request. As Team Manager you will work closely with instructing lawyers and clients to plan, organise and manage the review.

  • Supporting (and supplementing) the work of the Paralegals in delivering a very high quality service
  • Ensuring the team delivers to internal and external client requirements
  • Managing the expectations of those providing the instructions, including tracking progress, anticipating and highlighting resourcing issues and ensuring we provide sufficient and timely updates
  • Line Management responsibility for the team
  • Acting as the initial point of contact in connection with any issues and escalating as necessary
  • Ensuring standard ways of working are adhered to
  • Ensuring robust checks and quality controls are in place
  • Identifying training needs and providing coaching to ensure the team are able to meet expectations
  • Ensuring work is properly staffed
  • Ensuring the playbooks are comprehensive and kept up to date
  • Assessing opportunities to improve operational processes, documentation and training
  • Conducting performance reviews in accordance with line management responsibility
