Job Description:

Our client, a well-established Scottish firm, is currently recruiting for a Legal Director or Partner with experience in contentious construction, to be based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected team and lead on complex construction disputes across a broad client base.

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload focused on contentious construction matters, including advising on construction disputes, adjudications, arbitration, litigation, and subrogated recoveries. You will act for a diverse range of clients in the construction sector, including contractors, employers, professional consultants, and local authorities.

To be considered for this role, you should have a minimum of 7 years’ PQE with a strong background in commercial construction disputes. Previous experience in a client-facing role is essential, as is the ability to lead a team and support the development of junior colleagues. The firm offers a competitive salary and benefits package, along with genuine opportunities for career progression.
