Base pay range

Birmingham, Bramble Close

£14,823.90 per annum

12 months fixed term maternity cover

22.5 hours per week

About The Role

We provide housing related support services to customers with Learning Disabilities and/or on the autism spectrum to develop the skills and resources required to build resilience and live independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing a flexible, responsive service which operates in a timely and person centred manner
  • Signposting customers to relevant sources of information, support, guidance and advice
  • Effectively working in partnership with external agencies for the benefit of customers
  • Accurately recording and capturing client risk information and contributing to the formation of risk management plans.
  • Adhering to the organisations health and safety policy.
  • Adhering to the organisations adult and children’s safeguarding policy.
  • Follow the organisations incident management policy.
  • Completing and maintaining accurate records in line with the requirements (including detailed support plans and regular checks)
  • Ensuring all service delivery is non-judgemental and is delivered in line with equality and diversity requirements
  • Attending all training courses and delivering on the outcomes
  • Any other duties as required by the role

About You

We are looking for people, who are flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic, dedicated and want to make a difference in people’s lives. You will have responsibility for providing a person-centred service to a caseload of customers within the community and our supported housing. You must have effective communication skills, good administration skills and be computer literate. The role is challenging and varied which requires people who see social care as a vocation.

A working knowledge of legislation in regards to delivering support to vulnerable people is essential. Experience within social care as well as a good understanding of the challenges faced by people with mental health problems, learning disabilities and autism in the community and the Welfare Reform legislation is an advantage but not a necessity as full training will be provided. Successful candidate must always be able to portray professional standards.

The Group consists of;

  • Trident Housing, which provides landlord services for the Group in respect of housing management and maintenance
  • Trident Reach, which is a registered care and support charity delivering trauma informed care and support services. These services include supporting people within registered care, domiciliary care, people with learning difficulties, those with mental health needs, young people at risk, older people, BME groups, people at risk of being homeless, those seeking employability, education and training opportunities and those fleeing domestic abuse.
