Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking an LCV Technician to join a leading vehicle rental team in Southampton. The role involves completing planned maintenance, inspections and servicing on vans and light commercial vehicles in a busy workshop.

You will identify mechanical, electrical and technical faults, carry out repairs to a high standard, and keep accurate job records. Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK required. Permanent/full-time, 42.5 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Relevant light vehicle, LCV or commercial vehicle maintenance qualification, and strong hands-on experience in a similar role
• Good working knowledge of servicing, inspections, diagnostics and repairs on vans and light commercial vehicles

Responsibilities

• Complete planned maintenance, inspections and servicing on vans and LCVs within a workshop environment
• Identify and repair mechanical, electrical and technical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment
• Carry out repairs to a high standard, ensuring vehicles remain safe, compliant and roadworthy
• Complete job records accurately, work closely with the workshop team and maintain high standards of workmanship

Job description

LCV Technician / Mechanic role with a Level 3 qualification for a leading vehicle rental specialist, working on a wide range of vans and light commercial vehicles. Great salary, benefits, overtime, and bonus opportunities.

Must have the right to work in the UK. A full UK driving licence is required.

Location: Southampton
Salary: up to £20.33 per hour, overtime opportunities, and regular salary review
Job type: Permanent / full-time role
Working hours: 42.5 hour per week, Monday to Friday, Flexibility on working hours between 7am and 6pm
