Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified or time-served Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Mechanic for an award-winning business located in Sheffield, S9 area. The role offers a salary of approximately £40,000 per annum, plus an annual bonus of around £800 (£195 per quarter). Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, with occasional Saturday mornings. Flexibility is available for existing commitments.

The successful candidate will work on a wide range of vehicles, including Light Commercial Vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, Vans, Luxury MPVs, 17-seat Minibuses, and some Small Economy Cars. Full UK driving license is required.

Opportunities for professional development are available, including training on tail-lifts, Loler & Weight-Test Training, and other mechanical skills enhancement.

The client is a well-established, family-run business operating for nearly 40 years across Yorkshire. They are the largest independent vehicle rental company in the region, with over 2,000 vehicles, providing fleet maintenance and hire services.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, repairs, servicing, and breakdown support on various vehicles.
• Record all work according to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Road test vehicles, conduct inspections, and meet servicing requirements.
• Assist with breakdown support using a company van.
