Overview

Clinical Systems Development is a growing team created to develop Waters Clinical and IVD Systems, Hardware and Software. This is a great opportunity to be involved at the outset of a new organization, with a mission to better meet the unique challenges of our Clinical customers and accelerate the growth of this segment of Waters' business. This role is a key development scientist position within new hardware and software development for Waters Clinical customers.

Responsibilities
  • Play a key role in developing Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) Systems for the Waters Clinical Business Unit.
  • Contribute to the innovation and creation of new separations and/or mass measurement concepts for LC/MS clinical systems and analyzers that are ground-breaking, transformative, and disruptive.
  • Undertake research & development activities for Clinical LC/MS Systems and technologies, advise on design of experiments, and engage in sustaining activities. Collaborate with Waters R&D and customers on Separations/Mass Spectrometry projects.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for senior management on separations-based and/or mass spectrometry-based technology and products. Stay informed of developments in the community and competitors’ products to identify development opportunities or threats.
  • Present research findings at international conferences and internally to senior management.
  • Work with Waters and Clinical BU teams to improve Clinical Systems products in terms of quality, robustness, reliability, and uptime.
  • Provide integration skills to develop and transfer new technologies into commercial instrumentation, including defining requirements and specifications.
  • Produce Product Specification and Engineering Requirements documentation and guide engineering teams in design efforts.
