Mission:

This is a consultancy-based position requiring on-site presence at the client's premises 2–3 days per week (Aztec West, Bristol).

We are seeking several Layout Engineers Consultants – Nuclear to join our expanding UK team and support our client on the Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC) nuclear projects.

As part of the Layout Team, you will contribute to engineering efforts for HPC and SZC. The team plays a critical role in supporting the construction of the four EPR units by providing engineering support related to plant design.

This is an opportunity to contribute to complex, high-profile projects while advancing your career in a forward-thinking environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Assessing site requests for layout impact
• Evaluating requests from the site that may affect layout
• Reporting progress, achievements, and difficulties to the Layout Team Lead and raising alerts on design issues
• Contributing to resolving open design points after package delivery to site
• Anticipating and raising alerts on technical open points
• Collecting and organizing lessons learned
• Participating in team meetings and sharing technical topics
• Managing and monitoring modifications requested by engineering teams, contractors, and the client

Profile:

We seek someone with both technical expertise and a collaborative spirit. Our ideal candidate:

• Holds a degree and has hands-on experience in a nuclear engineering environment
• Has a background in EPR or other nuclear projects
• Is proficient in 2D and 3D design software, particularly Navisworks and AutoCAD
• Has good knowledge of PDMS or E3D, or similar software
• Understands general layout and installation guidelines
• Is familiar with nuclear power plant operations and safety considerations, including nuclear safety, flood risks, fire hazards, radiological protection, and high-energy line failures
• Has experience in plant layout engineering
• Knows the UK design framework and regulatory requirements
