Qualifications

  • 5–15 years experience in layout design, preferred in nuclear.
  • Experience with 2+ years in PDMS or E3D required.
  • Knowledge in HVAC, piping, civil, and related disciplines.

Responsibilities

Looking for an exciting opportunity in the nuclear industry? This offer is made for you! We are seeking talented engineers who want to work in the biggest projects and are not afraid of new challenges.

JOB POSITION: Layout Designer - On Site.

KEY INFORMATION:

  • From 5 to 15 years of experience,
  • Energy industry experience required (Oil&Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Offshore…), Nuclear preferred,
  • Coordination, open point, problem-solving...,
  • HVAC, piping, equipment, civil, cable trays (at least 3 out 5),

(ALL APPLICATIONS NOT MEETING THESE CRITERIA WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED)

LOCATION: Somerset - on-site.

EXPERTISE:

  • Responsibility for the layout design of their building(s), within their scope,
  • Models 3D updates in PDMS (E3D from 2025), and produces 2D and 3D deliverables based on the input data provided,
  • Follows applicable design procedures and instructions,
  • Ensure modelling is performed right first time, to ensure quality (e.g. geometry, attribute completion, etc.),
  • Multidisciplinary (all Mechanical scopes, and their interfaces with the Civil structures)
  • Reports to a CAD Team Lead,
  • No line management responsibility. Transverse management (retrieving/clarifying/supplying information to/from many stakeholders (internal),
  • Experience level: 2+ years with PDMS or E3D.

Qualifications :

Communication / Proactivity / Collaboration / Organisation / Delivery orientated.

Software and Tools:

Microsoft Word/Excel. Good knowledge of PDMS (or any 3D design software), AutoCAD and Navisworks software (consultation).
