This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance collaborates across the project to deliver all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling, and support services. This innovative approach facilitates seamless coordination among contractors to install cabling and pipework in the power station’s extensive network of rooms.

The role

As a Layout and Access Coordinator, you will play a vital role in managing work access routes across the site to support the MEH Alliance construction programme. You will report to the Access and Layout Engineer and be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient access and signage requirements.

• Ensure access & signage requirements are installed according to building classifications, liaising with the MEH Logistics team.
• Coordinate with Site Operations to maintain accessible routes, assessing alternatives if routes are blocked.
• Maintain and update the access route register, raising concerns with building leads as needed.
• Collaborate with the MEH Temporary Works & Access team to coordinate access requirements for all building occupants.
• Ensure all activities comply with safety standards and CDM regulations.
• Create safe access routes for pedestrians and material deliveries.

This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, based at Hinkley Point C Power Station in Somerset.

Essential experience

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in IT and MS Office
• Coordination skills are essential; previous layout and access experience is not mandatory.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance.
