Cardiff University International Study Centre (ISC) is a new and exciting development, launched in September 2020. You would be working in a culture that enhances learning, teaching, and assessment through a developmental approach, promoting autonomy, innovation, and development opportunities.
As a Tutor in the Business, Law, and Humanities department at the ISC, you will teach modules on the level-3 International Foundation Year (IFY), level-4 International Year 1 (IY1), or level-6 Pre-Master’s Programme (PMP), or a combination of these.
The main law modules at the Centre are all level 4, including contract law, public law, criminal law, legal foundations, and a business law module covering company law, equity and trusts, and other relevant areas for UK businesses.
At level 3, we offer an introductory course covering jurisprudence, public law, land law, and conveyancing.
It would be advantageous to be able to teach one or more of the following: contract law and/or business law.
The Centre also offers a range of humanities, social sciences, and business modules that you may be asked to deliver when appropriate.
You will contribute to the law team's operations by teaching classes and developing teaching materials and assessments.
You will help students achieve the required level to progress to university by providing student-centered, engaging, and innovative learning experiences.
Your responsibilities include marking and providing feedback on formative and summative assessments.
