An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Law Graduate to join a well-established law firm on the outskirts of Barnstaple within its busy Commercial team. This is a full-time, permanent role, offering an ideal entry point into a legal career with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop specialist knowledge in commercial law.

Key Responsibilities:

As part of the Commercial team, the successful candidate will:

• Assist fee earners with casework, research, and drafting of documents.

• Support with client onboarding, file management, and compliance tasks.

• Conduct legal research and prepare summaries to support ongoing matters.

• Liaise with clients and third parties professionally, by phone, email, and in person.

• Prepare and maintain accurate case documentation and correspondence.

• Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the department.

• Gain exposure to a wide range of commercial matters, including contracts, business sales and acquisitions, and property-related work.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a Law Degree.

• Demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a career in commercial law.

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Be highly organised, detail-focused, and able to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Show initiative, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.

• Have strong IT skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to case management systems.
