Job description

We are recruiting for our client with offices across the South. They are a regional Law Firm who we work with as a preferred supplier. They have a new role for a Conveyancing Assistant (ideally a law graduate or perhaps a Legal Secretary looking to transition into an Assistant role) to work out of their Salisbury office. This is a permanent full time role 9-5pm Monday to Friday. Salary will be dependent on experience they offer a huge benefits package with a 10% annual bonus paid quarterly. Parking is paid and on site along with many other firm-wide benefits.

Duties

You will support our busy residential conveyancing department, assisting with a caseload of property transactions from instruction through to completion. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for property law and an interest in building a legal career. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting fee earners with managing residential conveyancing transactions.
  • Opening and closing files, updating case management systems.
  • Drafting documents and correspondence.
  • Communicating with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and mortgage lenders.
  • Handling post-completion tasks, including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in a conveyancing or legal support role is desirable.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage your time effectively and prioritise tasks.
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with conveyancing software (e.g., LEAP, Proclaim) is a plus.
  • A strong communicator with excellent client service skills.
  • Capable of working independently and within a team.
  • Comfortable using their initiative and identifying areas for improvement.
