The Law Faculty is looking to appoint a Law Bridging Programme Coordinator between May and September 2025 to assist Professor Imogen Goold, Access Co-ordinator for the Law Faculty, in designing, organising, and implementing the programme. The role also involves providing some teaching for the Opportunity Oxford Programming.
The postholder will report to Professor Imogen Goold and will be supported by the Admissions and Outreach Officer. The primary duties include organising and implementing the programme, and teaching parts of the online learning component and residential programme, focusing on skills training and aspects of Criminal, Constitutional, and Roman Law.
The candidate should be educated to degree level or equivalent, with an excellent educational record; have experience in designing or delivering access and outreach activities; possess knowledge of pedagogical methods for legal studies; and have experience teaching Law in lectures and tutorials. Preference will be given to candidates able to teach one or more of the three modules offered by the Law Faculty: Roman Law, Constitutional Law, or Criminal Law.
The role is fixed-term until 30 September 2025 and is offered on a 0.2 FTE basis, equating to one day per week. The hours will be spread unevenly across the appointment period. The postholder must be based in Oxford full-time between 6-20 September for the residential part of the course and will be required to be in Oxford regularly.
