Job Description:

We have an excellent opportunity for a Laundry & Housekeeping Assistant to join our clients residential and respite care team at their outstanding CQC care home in West Wickham.

About the Role

As Laundry & Housekeeping Assistant, you will work across multiple teams providing support on a day-to-day basis. Your responsibilities include:

Laundry

• Ensure an efficient daily laundry service for residents’ personal clothing and care home linen, liaising with staff and residents.
• Handle infected clothing separately, following health and safety procedures.
• Launder personal clothing according to labels and return to the correct rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the laundry area.
• Follow infection control procedures as directed.

Domestic

• Provide quality housekeeping services, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Respect resident dignity and privacy.
• Launder personal clothing separately, following manufacturer instructions.
• Keep laundry areas clean and organized.
• Assist in catering department operations and maintain hygiene standards.
• Participate in staff meetings and training, and identify personal development needs.
