Job description

Job Title: General Laundry Assistant

Working within the Laundry/Cleaning department, the General Laundry Assistant will be responsible for managing dirty laundry bins and, if requested, distributing linen from the Central Linen Store. This role provides a linen service to the Aintree, Royal/Broadgreen, and Walton Centre sites of Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (LUFHT) as per contract specifications.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Receive and sort all foul infected linen and general linen from wards and departments.
  2. Clean all dirty linen tubs ready for distribution back to hospital sites.

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.
