Job summary

The Orders of St John Care Trust is seeking a Laundry Assistant at Isis House in Oxford. You will operate and maintain the laundry service for residents, ensuring fabrics are handled safely and efficiently.

No prior experience is required as full training is provided. The role is 7 hours per week with a shift from 8am to 2pm, contributing to a clean, comfortable home environment for residents.

Qualifications

• No prior formal laundry experience required; training will be provided.
• Good communication skills and a positive, can-do approach when engaging with residents.

Laundry Assistant

Location: Isis House, Oxford, OX4 3NH

Pay rate: £13.14 per hour

Contracted hours: 7 hours per week

Shift times: 8am - 2pm

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Laundry Assistant you’ll be responsible for providing a laundry service for our residents; this includes the operation of commercial washing, drying and finishing machinery. You’ll ensure the laundry area is safe, clean and tidy at all times and that all laundry is processed in an efficient and timely manner.

Some of our residents love to join in with simple laundry tasks, so you may sometimes find that you have extra help as you carry out your daily routines.

Located in the popular area of Iffley, close to Oxford is Isis House offering friendly and high-quality residential, early-stage dementia, intermediate and nursing care to 80 residents. The home is conveniently located close to shopping amenities, including a chemist, and is on a bus route to the city centre. A short walk from the well-designed grounds takes you to the river and the charming village of Iffley.
