Part of a nationwide family of Continuing Care Retirement Communities, we are seeking a Housekeeper. The purpose of this position is to provide campus services in cleaning and minor maintenance requests throughout the campus to meet the needs of residents and employees, and to ensure facilities are in good condition.

In this role, the Housekeeper will:
  • Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules, departmental standards, and infection control guidelines.
  • Complete minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, plunging toilets, and changing batteries as needed.
  • Perform cleaning tasks inside and outside in accordance with department standards.
  • Maintain all floors through sweeping, mopping, stripping, scrubbing, waxing, vacuuming, extraction, hosting, and buffing as scheduled or assigned.
  • Assist in cleaning emergency spills that are observed or reported.
  • Perform project cleaning, including walls, ceilings, vents, light fixtures, windows, etc.
  • Remove trash and recyclables from collection points, public areas, and outside entrances, and transport to disposal areas. Replace trash liners as needed.
  • Deep clean rooms or units during transfers or discharges, following department standards.
  • Move furniture as needed and assist in resident moves during transfers or discharges.
  • Participate in the campus linen program, including distributing, collecting, counting, and preparing linens for pick-up, as well as handling incoming linen.
  • Make beds in guest rooms or residences as needed.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and report or repair any issues.
  • Observe and report repairs needed for facilities, furniture, fixtures, etc.
  • Assist with receiving and storing campus supplies and deliveries.
  • Participate in snow and ice salting during winter conditions.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Some high school education.
  • Experience in housekeeping and/or general maintenance.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Dependability, good organization, and the ability to follow instructions with limited supervision.
  • An interest in working with older adults is preferred.
  • Availability on weekends may be required.

Compensation Pay Range: $14.50 - $19.71

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $14.50 - $19.71, with actual pay determined by qualifications, experience, skills, education, location, and internal/external factors.
