Are you looking for a flexible, remote role that allows you to work from anywhere in the world?

Do you have access to a reliable Wi-Fi connection and a laptop or desktop with webcam and audio?

If so, we would love to hear from you! As a Remote Interpreter, your main responsibility will be to facilitate communication between clients and individuals with limited English proficiency. You will work remotely, providing interpreting services over the phone or via video calls. Your excellent language skills will enable you to interpret conversations accurately and efficiently across various professional settings.

Please note: this is a self-employed position.

Requirements

The Job

• Interpret between English and your native language over the phone or video calls.
• Provide interpretation services to clients with limited English proficiency.
• Interpret for users of legal, health, and local government services.
• Check the understanding of non-English speakers after each sentence.
• Conduct conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting.
• Ensure accurate, confidential, and impartial interpretation.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the Code of Conduct.

About You

• Fluent in English and your native language.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• At least 21 years old.
• Qualifications such as:
• Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
• Community Interpreting
• Registration with NRPSI, CIOL, or ITI is advantageous
• Degree in Translation, Interpreting, or Languages
• Other interpreting-related qualifications
