Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector (CMM) for a busy UK manufacturing site on a permanent late shift. You will program and operate LK and Mitutoyo CMMs, inspect components, read engineering drawings, and raise non-conformances while supporting root-cause investigations.

The role requires strong dimensional inspection skills, precise measurement tools, and good IT/ERP proficiency. An accommodation allowance is available if required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in manufacturing or engineering.
• Hands-on experience programming and operating LK and Mitutoyo CMMs.
• Strong dimensional inspection techniques and use of precision measuring tools.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience investigating non-conformances and supporting root cause analysis.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good IT skills, including MS Office and ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect components throughout the manufacturing process, including final inspection.
• Perform CMM inspection and programming using LK and Mitutoyo CMMs.
• Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, thread gauges.
• Raise non-conformance reports and support root cause investigations.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, purchase orders and concessions.
• Release inspected products to stores, assembly and packaging departments.
• Maintain product traceability and support MDR Quality Packs and audits.
• Ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
• Update quality records in company systems.
• Collaborate with production to achieve OTIF delivery targets.
• Promote a safe working environment and maintain housekeeping.
