Job summary

A large sheet metal company in Shrewsbury is seeking an experienced brake press setter. You will operate CNC laser machines, work with various metals, and read engineering drawings. The role offers a starting rate of £13.50 – £14 per hour with opportunities for progression in a temporary to permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Experience on Bystronic machines is advantageous.

We are currently recruiting for a large sheet metal company that work on various bespoke products for a number of companies in the Shropshire/West Midlands area. Due to an increase in orders they are looking for an experienced brake press setter to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating a CNC laser machine
• Working on Bystronic machines
• Reading from engineering drawings and liaising with the design team
• Working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
• Working on bespoke products
