Job description

Laser Operator

Our ever-expanding manufacturing client is looking for a full-time, temporary to permanent laser operator for their company based on the outskirts of Newport.

In the laser machine operator job role, you will be operating the machine to manufacture metal products using laser machines with computerized equipment. You will be using laser cutting to engrave and cut with punching machines that will make the correct parts, which will then be assembled.

You will also be helping with the setup, maintenance, and operation of a CNC machine, selecting lenses, loading programs, and calculating machine specs and parameters based on the thickness and type of material used.

Hours
8-5pm
Monday – Friday

Salary
£13.50 - £15.00 per hour D.O.E
