Job description

Laser Operator
Location: Leamington Spa
Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
Rotating weekly shifts
Shifts 6.00am - 2.30 pm and 06.00-12.00 Friday and 2.30pm - 11pm and 12.00-18.00 Friday
Salary A£33, 620.73 per annum + shift allowance (where applicable)

A well-established manufacturing company that specialises in heavy duty vehicles are looking to recruit a Laser Operator to join their small team based in Leamington Spa on a permanent basis..

The Laser Operator role:

* Operating and running the Laser machines
* Manufacturing components to a high standard
* Ability to interpret and work to CAD/engineering drawings
* Using engineering measuring equipment such as Vernier's, callipers, or Micrometres
* Maintaining machinery by cleaning it and making sure it is in working order and checking and ordering materials needed.
* Working with multiple types of metal, including stainless steel and aluminium
* Removing and cleaning of finished parts ready for Production.
* Daily TMP checks and general maintenance of Laser machines, replacing specific parts, nozzles, lenses etc.
* Completing your own quality control checks
* Completion of documentation
* Keeping to tight deadlines and targets

The ideal Laser Operator

* Experience of either Amada, Bystronic or a Trumpf machine would be beneficial.
* Machine operating experience
* Previous experience of operating laser cutting machines, setting would be an advantage
* Excellent communication skills
* Has the ability to prioritise work and meet tight deadlines.
* Ability to plan and work from own initiative, with minimum supervision

* Must be a self-motivated individual.
