This post is aimed at ST Higher level. The post will start as soon as possible. We encourage uptake of training opportunities and will support relevant courses for the candidate's education and training needs.

The post will be based at the South West Wales Cancer Centre, Swansea. The role will mainly support the inpatient unit, in addition to providing medical input to the chemotherapy and radiotherapy units.

Although these posts are not recognized for formal training, successful candidates will have opportunities to attend teaching sessions, and participate in audit, quality improvement, and research projects, similar to Wales Deanery Trainees. Each post will have a dedicated educational supervisor. The posts will involve participation in the medical on-call rota and carry responsibilities comparable to training grades. A study leave budget is available, and associated funding for educational opportunities will be considered and approved by the Medical Director's Office.
