A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Locum Appointment for Service (LAS) in General Adult inpatient care. You will play a crucial role in supporting Consultant Psychiatrists in ward duties, ensuring patient assessments and management of physical health needs. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with experienced professionals in a dynamic healthcare setting.
This is a LAS (Locum Appointment for Service) in General Adult inpatient at CT (Core Trainee) covering the inpatient service and the Out of Hours On Call Rota.
The post holder can be expected to work either exclusively on one of the five adult wards or split equally between 2 wards, depending on the need of the service that will be determined near the date of the role commencing, under the direct supervision of a Consultant Psychiatrist or Specialty Doctor/s on the ward/s.
All wards have at least 2 resident doctors, and the responsibilities listed below will be shared with them equitably and based on individual developmental needs.
The post holder will be expected to support the Consultant Psychiatrists and ward Specialty Doctors in the day-to-day running of the ward. This could include:

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and as such, it will be necessary to submit for a Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
