Large Format Print All-Rounder

Location: Wembley

Salary: Up to 32k DOE

Working Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-6pm

My client is a leading provider of large format print and graphics, serving clients across the UK and internationally. They are seeking an experienced Large Format Print All-Rounder who can operate printers, finishing equipment, as well as handle artworking, pre-press, and some client service duties such as booking in jobs.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Setting up, operating, and laminating a variety of large format digital printers, including HP Flat Bed, HP Latex, and Mimaki.
2. Operating finishing machinery such as Summa Cutter, laminating, and guillotine.
3. Progressing jobs through RIP software and outputting to digital printers.
4. Quality checking all work to ensure it meets high standards.
5. Liaising with the finishing department, QC work, and passing jobs to them to meet deadlines.
6. Routine maintenance of machinery.
7. Estimating and booking in jobs.

Requirements:

• Strong background in large format printing, ideally with experience operating HP Latex, HP Flatbed, and Mimaki printers.
• Experience with print finishing including mounting, laminating, guillotine, vinyl application, and Summa Cutting.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in estimating and booking jobs.
• Flexibility to work overtime at short notice if needed.
