Please note that this role is fixed term for 12 months as a maternity cover.
Independent practitioner responsible for the insertion and removal of LARC's. You should be able to understand complex care presentations and establish effective care pathways to address any needs in addition to their LARC requirements. This will include those who need additional consideration due to their complex social, emotional, psychological, and physical needs (mental health, learning disabilities, children with complex lives e.g. exploitation) identified and/or referred through outreach.
The post holder will provide a high level of personal care to patients to ensure they are treated with dignity and respect at all times, are provided with high quality care, clear and understandable information in a format/language they understand and feel their individual needs have been respected and met. The post holder is accountable for their own practice without direct supervision and will be a direct provider of higher-level nursing practice to patients with contraceptive needs.
