Telephone Interpreter / Freelance / Work from Home

Are you a UK-based interpreter, fluent in English and a 2nd language? Looking to work from home? In this freelance role, you’ll work with a leading language agency, providing interpretation across various industries, including the NHS and the Public Sector.

The Role

• Providing interpreting services to clients with limited English proficiency
• Answering requests and interpreting real-time conversations via phone using a dedicated app
• Interpreting and translating between English and a second language over the phone
• Ensuring accurate interpretation with excellent customer service

Ideal Candidate

• Living and eligible to work in the UK on a self-employed basis
• Fluent in English and a second language
• Understanding of cultural dynamics of both languages
• Experience in translation and interpretation
• Community Interpreting Level 3 certificate or higher (desirable)
• Willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS if not already held
