Language and Localization Specialist – Korean (f/m/d) – Cologne, London, Amsterdam or remote

What will you be doing at DeepL?

Thanks to our unique AI language technology, DeepL is able to provide the world’s best translation quality. To keep it that way, we need your expert linguistic and outstanding communication skills. You will be working in a highly motivated team of language experts and helping us with a wide array of tasks including translation, proofreading, editing, reviewing language data, assisting in press campaigns, advising on various cultural aspects of your language, and much more. Your responsibilities
  • Localize and proofread from English into Korean
  • Write and edit Korean language content
  • Advise on aspects of Korean language and culture
  • Test and evaluate machine translation data
  • Assist in PR campaigns for the Korean-speaking media
  • Communicate Korean-specific ideas and suggestions relating to our language service to other teams

About you
  • You are fluent in Korean and are familiar with the linguistic and cultural details of the language
  • You are fluent in English and feel comfortable communicating in English (written and spoken)
  • Minimum of 2 years of translation/localization experience, especially for website, app, and marketing content
  • Experience in language quality assurance
  • Knowledge of other languages, e.g. German, Chinese, or Japanese, is a plus
  • Experience using Korean in the context of MT or NLP is a plus
  • Experience working with UX-design and copywriting teams is a plus
  • Experience writing Korean language content is a plus
