Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Landscaping Specialist to lead hands-on landscaping projects, balancing hard and soft landscaping tasks with strict health and safety practices. Working hours are 39 per week (Mon-Thu 08:00-17:00, Fri 08:00-16:00), with a focus on delivering quality service, safety, and efficient site operations across projects for the partnership brands.

Qualifications

• Horticulture or equivalent hard landscape experience required.
• Basic brick and block work skills.
• Patio laying and fencing experience preferred.
• Experience using plant machinery.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Practical experience in landscaping services.

About the role

As a Landscaping Specialist you will assist in the continued growth of the landscaping business through excellent delivery of hard and soft landscaping projects. The work is very much hands on and can be physical at times but very rewarding. A good understanding of Health and safety is important and site working.

You will support the management of the landscaping business and to develop future propositions. Longstock Park Landscapes has great potential for growth and is ready to evolve into a more profitable business model. As a team, we will be tasked to deliver significant growth over the next 5 years, with the potential to gain career progression. This role within the department will give the Partner experience and increased knowledge of the landscape and horticultural industry.

Key responsibilities:

• Landscaping Operations; Planting and hard landscape services.
• Working with the Landscaping team and adhering to health and safety to work in a safe way for all.
• Compliant with procedures and standards
• Excellent Customer Service
• Stock, inventory and waste management
• Transportation of material to sites and waste removal

Varied hours of full time work (39 hours) Monday to Thursday 08:00- 17:00, and Friday 08:00 to 16:00.
