Job summary

A landscaping company in Wakefield is looking for a Landscaping Foreman. You will oversee grounds maintenance and soft landscaping tasks, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role and experience with soft landscaping are required. This position starts on a temp basis through Semester Recruitment and transitions to permanent after 13 weeks. A full UK driving license is preferred.

Job description

This is a permanent position however you will start hopefully very quickly on a temp to perm basis for 13 weeks on weekly pay, moving over to salary after 3 months.

Landscaping Foreman – Wakefield, West Yorkshire

All applicants preferably will have experience in grounds maintenance works but MUST have soft landscaping (seeding, turfing, soil preparation, tree planting, shrub planting, mulching) experience

Must be able to read landscape drawings

Landscaping experience in the following: tree planting, shrub planting, turfing, seeding, soiling, mulching

Excavator and/or dumper ticket advantageous but not essential

SSTS qualification advantageous but not essential

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.

ROLO Card is desirable.

A full UK driving license is desirable.

Trailer License would be advantageous.

SSSTS or SMSTS would be advantageous.

Level 2/3 NVQ Horticultural qualification or similar.

Appropriate training will be provided

This position is permanent however for a very quick start you would work through Semester Recruitment for the first 13 weeks and then go permanent on week 14.

You will need to get to the Wakefield Depot by 7am each morning, however you will then have a Company Van to get to the job.

Hours are 7am-3 or 4 depending on the job
