Job summary

Anglian Recruitment is seeking an Excavator / Forestry Operator for a Full-Time position on the Halesworth Estate in Suffolk. The role covers forestry, estate and land-management tasks; hands-on work away from the cab when required.

You will operate excavators, perform ditching, drainage, tree and stump extraction, forestry mulching, track construction and routine maintenance while collaborating with the team to meet project targets and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled, practical and motivated Excavator / Forestry Operator to join a team working across the Halesworth Estate. This is a varied, hands-on role involving forestry, estate and land-management operations. The successful applicant will ideally have experience in ditching, drainage, tree and stump extraction using excavator grabs, forestry mulching, track construction and general estate works. This is not a machine-only position. The successful applicant must be happy to get out of the cab and work hands-on alongside the wider team when required.

Previous experience in forestry, agriculture, drainage, land management or estate work would be an advantage. However, attitude, willingness to learn and pride in workmanship are equally important.
