Job summary

Halmer Recruit is hiring 4-5 skilled hard landscapers for a full-time permanent position in Hadleigh, covering nearby towns. The team travels to projects with paid travel time. Typical hours are 7:30am–4:00pm onsite, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Successful applicants will have practical hard landscaping or groundworks experience, be able to use paving, brickwork, footings and levels, and be reliable with a good work ethic. CSCS and driving licence are advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous hard landscaping, groundworks or similar practical experience.
• Experience with paving, brickwork, footings, levels or similar groundworks.
• Comfortable using tools, equipment and machinery.
• Able to work independently and use your initiative.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• CSCS card advantageous but not essential.
• Driving licence advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hard landscaping and groundworks as directed.
• Paving, brickwork, footings and small retaining walls.
• Set out works and levels accurately from drawings/specifications.
• Work from drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy.
• Operate landscaping machinery, plant and tools safely.
• Complete allocated tasks using your own initiative.
• Work effectively as part of the landscaping team.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Follow Health and Safety procedures.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for 4-5 Skilled Hard Landscapers to join an award-winning and growing landscape construction company.

These are full-time permanent positions offering long-term stability, training and career progression.

We are particularly interested in candidates around Sudbury, Colchester, Hadleigh, Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich and the surrounding areas. The team travels together to projects and pick-up arrangements are available depending on where you live. Travel time is paid.

We're looking for practical, reliable people who can use their initiative and, once given a task, are confident getting on with the job.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday
7.30am to 4.00pm onsite

Minimum 40 onsite hours per week.

Travel time is paid in addition to your onsite hours, typically taking the working week to around 40-46 paid hours, depending on project location.

The team travels together, with pick-up arrangements available depending on where you live.
