A prominent environmental authority is seeking a proactive Project Officer to coordinate and support environmental projects within their Conservation and Land Management team. The role involves contract management, communications, and financial administration, requiring strong project administration skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. This position offers a salary of £29,540 - £33,699 per annum, flexible working arrangements, and generous leave.

The successful applicant will be passionate about supporting projects that deliver real environmental impact, with strong project administration skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. They will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to communicate clearly and confidently.
Experience in creating engaging content for websites, newsletters, and social media is essential, along with the ability to adapt messages for different audiences and channels. While a background in conservation, farming, or ecology is desirable, it's not essential—we welcome candidates from diverse professional backgrounds who share a commitment to environmental work and want to make a difference.
This role requires someone who can hit the ground running, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on conservation and land management.
DNPA is the body that oversees the vibrant, living, working landscape and community of Dartmoor. We help conserve and enhance biodiversity, cultural heritage, and the landscape of Dartmoor, providing opportunities for people to enjoy the countryside, and supporting local communities and the rural economy.
The post is hosted by Dartmoor National Park Authority and will be based in Princetown and Parke, with some travel around Dartmoor.
Dartmoor National Park Authority was established by the Environment Act 1995 to conserve and enhance Dartmoor's natural beauty, wildlife, and cultural heritage, and to promote public understanding and enjoyment of Dartmoor.
This is a full-time (37 hours/week), fixed-term position until 30th September 2026, based at the DNPA offices at Parke and Princetown.
