The ideal candidates will have a passion for landscape-led planning, experience in the UK planning system, and skills in conducting landscape and visual impact assessments. Qualifications

  • A degree in Landscape Architecture is a must for the role as well as professional accreditation (CMLI).
  • Proven experience working through planning stages on UK landscape and urban projects.
  • A strong understanding of the UK planning system.
  • Experience in leading LVIA’s.
  • Exposure to project management and mentoring junior members of the team.
  • Strong written and visual communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and assessment findings.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues on landscape and infrastructure planning projects.
  • Author and contribute to LVIAs and associated reports.
  • Apply a creative, context-led approach to environmental considerations.
  • Support or lead on project management, depending on experience.
  • Engage directly with clients and stakeholders.

About The Role:

We are working with respected landscape practice that are seeking Landscape Planners of all levels to join their growing team.

The ideal candidates will bring a passion for landscape-led planning and a collaborative mindset to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and environmental and sustainable projects across urban regeneration. For senior levels, the ideal candidate would be a confident and technically robust approach to LVIA and landscape planning, combined with a strong understanding of planning policy and a contextual design sensibility. At all levels, you would be support by a team of leading professionals in a practice that puts creative thinking and collective success at the heart of what it does.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the UK on a wide range of landscape and infrastructure planning projects
  • Author and contribute to Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs) and associated reports
  • Apply a creative, context-led approach to integrating environmental considerations into masterplanning and design
  • Support or lead on project management, depending on experience, including coordinating inputs from multi-disciplinary teams
  • Engage directly with clients and stakeholders, contributing to a high standard of communication and delivery
  • For the senior roles, you would provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members, supporting their professional development
