Job description

An established environment team is seeking a Landscape Planner at Consultant level to join one of their offices in Manchester, Bristol, or Newcastle. The team works on projects across the UK, delivering high-quality and sustainable development services.

The Role:

Landscape planning is central to project delivery, with strategic landscape analysis helping to shape development principles and inform sustainable design.

This role will involve supporting a range of landscape planning workstreams, including Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA), Townscape and Visual Impact Assessments (TVIA), landscape appraisals, and greenbelt/greybelt assessments.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior team members on high-profile schemes, including those involving planning appeals and coordination with legal professionals. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for sustainable development, a collaborative mindset, and strong communication skills.

Key Skills and Experience:

A degree or postgraduate qualification in Landscape Architecture
*

Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (or working towards chartership)
*

Some experience in LVIA, feasibility studies, and landscape planning
*

Strong report writing and research skills
*

Ideally, experience in sectors such as residential or energy development
*

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
*

A proactive and organised approach, with good commercial awareness
