Job summary

BEAR Scotland Limited in Perth seeks a Landscape Operative to join our team. You will carry out a wide range of landscaping, environmental, and maintenance tasks across our trunk road network, with regular travel across our North West and South East areas.

Reporting to the Landscape Delivery Manager, you will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with overtime available. This role requires a full UK driving licence and the ability to work away from home as needed.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Experience with landscaping and maintenance tasks.
• Good awareness of health & safety procedures.
• Ability to operate small plant and machinery.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Grass cutting and strimming.
• Weed control on roads, verges, embankments and central reservations.
• Application of herbicides.
• Tree and shrub maintenance.
• Assisting with planting activities.
• Installing and maintaining 12D Traffic Management layouts.
• Cyclical maintenance of structures.
• Litter picking.
• Operating power tools, small plant and machinery.
• Health and safety of the public, colleagues and self.
• Winter maintenance activities (snow and ice clearance, gritter and salt).
• Undertaking any other duties to support the team.
