Job summary

Leicester City Council is seeking a Landscape Operative based at Beaumont Park Depot. The role is full time (37 hours/week) on a fixed term until 31/03/2027, with duties across Leicester’s parks, green spaces and streetscapes. You’ll supervise a small team and work on varied sites, using a range of tools and equipment.

Applicants should have landscape construction experience, knowledge of health and safety regulations, and the ability to supervise colleagues. A UK driving license is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscape construction or construction industry.
• Full understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to supervise the work of team members.

Responsibilities

• Supervise team members, temporary staff and subcontractors as required by the Team Manager.
• Work on parks, housing estates, highways, schools and community sites for internal and external clients.
• Operate a range of equipment and hand tools; use pesticides as required.
