Job description

Highland Council are seeking an experienced and Chartered Landscape Architect to join our Strategic Projects Team, specialising in a wide range of development management planning related landscape and visual work. As the UK and Scottish Governments strive to deliver net zero and Clean Power 2030, the successful candidate will help shape the future of the Highland region, guiding and appraising proposals for major and national EIA Developments, including renewable energy, electricity transmission, and other large-scale infrastructure. Highland is the largest region in Scotland, home to the best landscapes in the UK, with this job providing an opportunity for working in an exceptional environment, with a family friendly employer, with the post offering long term job satisfaction and the prospect of future career progression.

Permanent Contract
Salary: £42,879 – £52,325 per year (subject to ongoing job re-evaluation)
35 hours per week – Hybrid & flexible working, 28 up to 33 days annual leave + 7 paid public holidays, pension scheme & employee discounts
