Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is hiring a Landscape Gardener to join our team in a theme park environment. You will work in a hands-on role maintaining soft landscape, plant seasonal bedding, and operate machinery including tractors and ride-on mowers.

Applicants must have 5 years of commercial gardening experience, a level 2 NVQ in amenity horticulture, and NPTC PA1/PA6 certifications. Ability to work in all weather is essential.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• A level 2 NVQ in amenity horticulture (or equivalent).
• Proven 5 years of commercial gardening or horticulture experience.
• NPTC PA1 and PA6 qualification in application of pesticides.
• NPTC chainsaw qualification is beneficial but not essential.
• Hands-on physical role and able to work in all weathers.

Responsibilities

• To work within a team to maintain the soft landscape to a high standard in a theme park environment.
• Carry out garden maintenance including mowing, strimming, weeding, pruning and hedge cutting in guest facing areas.
• To carry out planting including seasonal bedding and lawn care to the highest standards.
• To work with and maintain a large range of landscaping machinery including tractors and implements as well as ride on mowers.
• Working in a safe manner at all times, complying with work based risk assessments and COSHH regulations that supports a safety-first culture within the team.
• Maintaining ride area safety, ensuring ride area clearances are maintained and identifying and reporting tree works when required.

About The Role:

Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday 6am - 2:30pm and Friday 6am - 12:00midday
