Job summary

Tregothnan invites applications for a Landscape & Estate Operative to join our Kent estate team. The role spans woodland, vineyard, gardens, tracks, and general estate infrastructure.

You will operate diggers and a range of machinery, with tickets required, and perform grounds maintenance while supporting seasonal projects. You will have experience in outdoor work and be comfortable using estate machinery; a full UK driving licence is needed.

Qualifications

• Valid digger/plant operation tickets are essential.
• Experience in landscaping, farming, forestry or construction.
• Comfort using hand tools, power tools and estate machinery.
• Full clean UK driving licence.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to estate needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate diggers and other estate machinery safely and competently (tickets essential).
• Undertake general gardening and grounds maintenance duties.
• Assist woodland management, including clearing, stacking and habitat work.
• Support vineyard operations such as spraying, mowing and maintenance.
• Complete general estate labouring tasks, including fencing, track repairs and groundworks.
• Load, move and store materials, equipment and supplies and ensure tools are cleaned and maintained.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced labourer to join our small, friendly, and established team. The role involves working across a diverse landscape, including woodland, vineyard, gardens, tracks, and general estate infrastructure. The successful candidate must hold valid tickets to operate a digger and be confident using a range of machinery and tools. This is a practical, varied role suited to someone who enjoys outdoor work, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and can adapt to the changing needs of the estate.

• Operating diggers and other estate machinery safely and competently (valid tickets required).
• Undertaking general gardening and grounds maintenance duties.
• Assisting with woodland management, including clearing, stacking, and habitat work.

• Loading, moving, and handling materials, equipment, and supplies.
