Job Description:

Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets.

We are more than 36,000 people, in over 70 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life. Everyone has an important role to play. With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.

Our Landscape, Masterplanning, Urbanism (LMU) team is looking for a Landscape Architect to join our growing team, which consists of over 70 people offering a full spectrum of Landscape Architecture, Masterplanning, and Urban Design services. The services range from Masterplanning, urban regeneration, strategic planning, design concept through to detail and implementation, as well as Environmental Assessment and LVIA.

As part of our Environmental team, you'll help improve quality of life. Your work could involve protected species, pollution, surface water and materials management, air quality, or noise, especially in some of the world's busiest and most beautiful locations.

We work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. Facing challenges like climate change, rapid urbanization, and biodiversity loss, we aim to mitigate unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires.

As part of our team, you will focus on infrastructure-led projects alongside master planning and urban design projects across the UK.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including in-house disciplines, high-profile designers, and external partners. You'll have the opportunity to work on some of the UK's largest, most complex projects, including major masterplans, city centre regeneration projects, green infrastructure strategies, landscape masterplanning for large residential and mixed-use developments, and significant infrastructure projects like:

  • Perry Barr Regeneration Development
  • Glasgow Neighbourhoods
  • Westerhill Masterplan
  • Future High Street Fund projects and Town Investment Funds
  • Northstowe Masterplan / Urban extension
  • Rochdale Canal and other projects (Canal and River Trust)
  • High Speed Rail 2
  • Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) such as Lower Thames Crossing

Our portfolio includes both large-scale and smaller projects, serving clients at national and local levels in the private and public sectors.

You will be challenged and inspired by diverse projects requiring innovative ideas and solutions. Collaboration is key, and you'll work with talented colleagues who bring new perspectives. United by a passion for sustainability, collaboration, and solving complex global challenges, we aim to make a meaningful impact.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience as a Landscape Architect on small to large-scale masterplans, city centre regeneration, green infrastructure, or infrastructure projects
  • Experience in landscape planning and assessment projects
  • Goal to start P2C with the Landscape Institute
  • Strong hand-drawing and graphic skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe software
  • Desirable: Revit, 3D SketchUp, and modeling tools
  • Driving license
  • Degree/Diploma in Landscape Architecture or a related field
