Job Title: Landscape Architect

Arcadis, the world's leading company in sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets, is seeking a Landscape Architect to join our growing team.

Our Landscape, Masterplanning, Urbanism (LMU) team consists of over 70 professionals providing comprehensive Landscape Architecture, Masterplanning, and Urban Design services. Our projects range from masterplanning, urban regeneration, strategic planning, and design concept development to detailed design, implementation, environmental assessments, and LVIA.

As part of our Environmental team, you will work on projects aimed at improving quality of life, with a focus on environmental management, sustainability, and technical expertise. Your work may involve protected species, pollution, surface water and materials management, air quality, or noise, often in some of the world's most vibrant locations.

We are committed to protecting our natural environment and water resources while powering future generations. Our projects address pressing issues like climate change, urbanization, and biodiversity loss, including large-scale events such as floods and wildfires.

You will focus on infrastructure-led projects alongside master planning and urban design initiatives across the UK, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including in-house experts and external partners. Our portfolio includes major masterplans, city center regeneration, green infrastructure strategies, landscape masterplanning for large residential and mixed-use developments, and infrastructure projects like:

  • Perry Barr Regeneration Development
  • Glasgow Neighbourhoods
  • Westerhill Masterplan
  • Future High Street Fund projects
  • Northstowe Masterplan / Urban extension
  • Rochdale Canal projects
  • High Speed Rail 2
  • Lower Thames Crossing (NSIPs)

We also undertake smaller projects, offering a diverse portfolio at national and local levels, in both private and public sectors.

We value collaboration and innovative ideas, working with talented colleagues who share a passion for sustainability and solving complex challenges.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience as a Landscape Architect on small to large-scale masterplans, regeneration projects, green infrastructure, or infrastructure projects
  • Experience in landscape planning and assessment
  • Eligibility to start P2C with the Landscape Institute
  • Strong hand-drawing and graphic skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Desired: Revit, 3D SketchUp, and modeling tools
  • Valid driving license
  • Degree or diploma in Landscape Architecture or a related field
