Job description

Due to our continued growth and expanding portfolio, we have an exciting opportunity for a Landscape Architect to join our creative and friendly team. Our strong preference is for the role to be based in our Bristol office, though we will consider strong applicants based in our London office.

The Role – Landscape Architect or Landscape Assistant

This role is ideal for a full-time, recently qualified Landscape Architect. The Landscape Architect will be responsible for design through all RIBA Stages and potentially project management duties. The role involves working on a variety of projects across sectors to create healthier, safer, and smarter environments.

Your Skills and Experience
  • Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture, preferably from a school accredited by the Landscape Institute or working towards this.
  • Chartered status CMLI, having successfully completed the LI Pathway to Chartership (P2C).
  • Minimum of 2 years professional experience.
  • Proven skills in managing and delivering projects from inception to completion.
  • Good knowledge of plants and planting design.
  • Good to excellent Revit software skills.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for the design and delivery of projects and maintaining excellent relationships with colleagues, clients, and third parties.
  • The position offers excellent opportunities for career advancement.
  • Experience assisting in the delivery of projects from inception to completion, demonstrating an understanding of the project lifecycle.
  • Good knowledge of plants and planting design.
  • Understanding of Revit and transferable skills supporting software use.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in landscape design projects at various stages, providing technical support.
  • Prepare Landscape & Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) and Appraisals for planning and environmental submissions.
  • Prepare drawings and documents using Revit.
  • Appraise sites for opportunities, restrictions, and risks.
  • Engage and present to project stakeholders.
  • Assist with business development, bids, and marketing.
  • Monitor project progress through site visits.
  • Coordinate with other consultants and troubleshoot project issues.
  • Work independently with effective communication skills.
