Job description

Landscape Architect: Birmingham

A leading, medium-sized multi-disciplinary firm is currently seeking a talented and driven Landscape Architect to join their team based on the outskirts of Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, from large-scale masterplans to detailed public realm and green infrastructure schemes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for innovative, sustainable design and possess excellent technical skills in CAD and 3D visualisation. They will have experience delivering high-quality landscape solutions and will collaborate with ecologists, arboriculturalists, urban designers, and fellow landscape architects to create inspiring environments that enhance communities and biodiversity.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare plans, visual material, and graphic presentations.
  2. Work on projects from inception through to completion.
  3. Undertake site surveys and analysis work.
  4. Prepare reports and other supplementary information to support design work.
  5. Develop landscape management plans.
  6. Liaise directly with clients to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Key Requirements

  1. A degree in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline.
  2. Proven experience in landscape planning and design.
  3. Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute or on the pathway to membership.
  4. Experience in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA).
  5. Proficiency in Vectorworks is preferable.
  6. Knowledge of climate change-responsive landscape planning.
  7. A driving license is beneficial but not essential.
