A local council is urgently seeking a Landlord and Compliance Specialist for a 2.5-month temporary position in Taunton. The successful candidate will provide technical knowledge in property compliance, conduct inspections, and ensure all works comply with legislation. Job description

Job Title: Landlord and Compliance Specialist

Location: Taunton and Surrounding Area

Salary: Generous Day Rate, Call to Discuss

Duration: 2.5 months, with possible extension

Employer: Local Council

Role:

  • Responsible for providing technical knowledge and expertise in property compliance
  • Knowledge areas include Water Safety, Damp & Mould, Asbestos, Rayon, and other property-related issues
  • Conduct inspections of the Council's housing stock, including structures and materials
  • Create compliance reports and analyze data using internal and external resources
  • Lead services across multiple sites, ensuring successful completion of works
  • Ensure all works comply with current legislation and requirements
  • Oversee resource distribution effectively

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Excellent understanding of policy and legislation surrounding property compliance
  • Extensive knowledge of property compliance regulatory requirements
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the local Council’s Corporate, Business, and Service Plans
  • Strong communication skills
  • Up-to-date DBS check
  • Valid driving license

Additional Information:

This is a full-time temporary role, working 37 hours per week over 5 days. A satisfactory Basic DBS check is required.
