Job summary

Newett Homes is seeking a Land Manager or Senior Land Manager to join our team in Wetherby. The role focuses on identifying, appraising and securing residential land opportunities to fuel growth.

You will build strong relationships with landowners, agents and local authorities, assess development potential, and lead negotiations through planning, due diligence and handover to deliver commercially viable schemes.

About The Role

We are looking for a commercially minded Land Manager or Senior Land Manager to identify, appraise and secure residential land opportunities that support our growth plans.

You will build strong relationships, assess development potential and negotiate deals that help shape future residential communities.

Responsibilities

• Identify, appraise and secure residential land opportunities that support the development pipeline.
• Build strong relationships with landowners, agents, promoters, local authorities and consultants.
• Assess sites, prepare land appraisals and make clear acquisition recommendations.
• Lead negotiations, due diligence and progression through planning, acquisition and handover.
• Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure opportunities are commercially and technically deliverable.

About You

• Proven experience in residential land acquisition, development or planning.
• Strong commercial judgement and understanding of land value, viability and planning.
• Confident negotiator with excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
• Able to interpret plans, planning documents, technical reports and commercial appraisals.
• Highly organised, proactive and comfortable presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Experience And Qualifications

You will bring relevant experience in residential land, development or planning. A degree or professional qualification in property, planning, surveying, real estate, construction or a related discipline would be advantageous.
