As a result, alongside several consortium partners, Balfour Beatty has been selected by BP (British Petroleum) to construct a first-of-a-kind fully integrated gas-fired power station with carbon capture and storage. This project is a key part of plans to make Teesside the UK’s first decarbonised industrial cluster.

Balfour Beatty is seeking a dynamic and experienced Land Engineering Survey Manager to contribute to the Net Zero Teesside project at our new site in Redcar.

What you'll be doing
  • Lead the day-to-day running of survey tasks and oversee survey projects.
  • Maintain and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Own the survey lifecycle, including scoping, costing, and project management.
  • Understand project requirements and implement innovative survey design techniques.
  • Manipulate, disseminate, and present data using appropriate tools.
  • Ensure mentoring and training of survey team members are met.
  • Set individual development objectives, including completing Balfour Beatty PDRs.
  • Manage site records of all survey-related tasks.
Who we're looking for
  • Proficient in using multiple survey software/hardware packages.
  • Knowledge of and ability to check design deliverables in various digital formats.
  • Experience with geodetic requirements for construction projects.
  • Knowledge of up-to-date survey data reality capture methods.
  • Experience setting up local base networks and establishing connected site environments.
